Inter-federation Roaming Architecture for Large-scale Wireless LAN Roaming Systems

Wireless LAN Roaming enables users to be authenticated and authorized for access networks at various places they visit. The largest roaming federation today is probably eduroam developed research education institutions. There have been some projects developing federations public wireless services as well. Since the introduction of Next Generation Hotspot concept, need interconnect these has emerged. However, technical problems exist addressed simultaneously. In this paper, we analyze existing systems develop an inter-federation architecture with aim realizing a worldwide system that would accommodate eduroam. To realize realm-based routing authentication requests across different achieve scalability, designed use regional hubs instead single exchange hub.
